Every Wedding Needs a Wedding Crowd Manager
The difference between a wedding that seems well organized, and one that does not seem well organized, sometimes boils down to proper people management. It is possible to have a highly organized wedding fall apart over the simple fact that no one has assumed the responsibility for organizing the flow of people and making sure that everyone is where he or she should be. Weddings can have phenomenal pre-wedding organization, ranging from selecting the perfect wedding invitations to meticulously preparing setting arrangements based upon the tiniest of interpersonal details. Yet, that doesn’t necessarily mean that a wedding is truly organized. But this doesn’t have to happen to you!
Having an energetic and motivated person manage the flow of people, serving as general crowd management, is vitally important for a success wedding to occur. People may still love your wedding and have a great time without such management, but your wedding may risk coming off as a little disorganized and chaotic. Having a “people-person” in place that knows how to deal with different types of people and move them from place to place can be remarkably helpful.
Selecting your “wedding crowd manager” is a little trickier than it might initially seem. The last person that you want in this position is often the person that people choose. You do not want an overly aggressive, bossy person to start barking orders at people. You are at a wedding and the last thing anyone wants at a wedding is to be herded like an animal. The perfect candidate is one that is charming, gracefully and energetic and again, not just someone that thinks they are have those qualities but actually does have those qualities. This means skipping your aggressive, nosy and bossy aunt who thinks that she is charming, but is anything but charming.
Your wedding crowd manager is also a person that you feel comfortable with if there is someone of problem. Keep in mind that you are looking for a smiling, charming diplomat, not a “tough guy” to muscle people into line.
